Amber Weldon-Stephens, EdS, LPMT, MT-BC
Department Head and Clinical Training Director
Amber graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in music therapy from The University of Georgia, a Master’s degree in multiple and sensory disabilities from Georgia State University and a Specialist degree in special education administration from State University of West Georgia. She began the music therapy program in Fulton County thirty years ago. Weldon-Stephens has served as the President of the Music Therapy Association of Georgia; President of the Southeastern Region of the American Music Therapy Association and as Council Coordinator for Association Services with the Board of Directors for the American Music Therapy Association. She is also on the faculty of Kennesaw State University and the UGA Redcoat Band Camp. Currently, she is Past President of the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA).
Joe Bailey, MM, LPMT, MT-BC
Joe holds a Bachelor's degree from South Carolina State University and a Master's degree in music therapy from Illinois State University. He was the first male intern in our department. A drummer since the age of two, he's ambidextrous, has performed a six-mallet solo marimba recital, and enjoys jazz, baseball, jam sessions, and mentoring. He's beginning his tenth year with FCS.
Jessica Didelot, LPMT, MT-BC
Jessica received her Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from The Florida State University. She's earned her certifications in Special Education and Neonatal Intensive Care as well. She loves incorporating hand-made art visuals, and increasing musical repertoire on many different instruments. She is also President of the Music Therapy Association of Georgia (MTAG). This is her eighth year with Fulton County Schools.
Kirby Carruth, MMT, LPMT, MT-BC
Kirby graduated from The University of Alabama with a Bachelor's degree in music therapy, and completed her Master's degree at Georgia College and State University. Her creativity and knowledge of current music is a gift to her students. She is Past-President of the Music Therapy Association of Georgia (MTAG), and has worked with the Fulton County School system for fourteen years.
Tasia Carter, LPMT, MT-BC
Tasia is a graduate of Queens University of Charlotte, and also holds a Bachelor's degree in Sacred Music with a concentration in voice from Gardner-Webb University. She completed her internship in Fulton County Schools in 2010-2011. Some of her favorite populations to work with are children with speech and language disorders. Tasia enjoys singing and songwriting during her free time. This is her sixth year in our department.
Rachel Coon-Arnott, MMT, LPMT, MT-BC
Rachel graduated from Charleston Southern University with a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy and obtained her Master's degree from Georgia College and State University. She is an avid reader, animal lover, qualitative researcher, and skilled at government relations and music therapy. Rachel has been working for the Fulton County School system for seventeen years.
Natalie Generally Kirk, MMEd, LPMT, MT-BC
Natalie graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor’s degree, and from The University of Georgia with a Master’s in music education/therapy. She's an innovative applier of technology to music therapy, and a skilled community organizer. She is Past President of the Music Therapy Association of Georgia (MTAG). Natalie has been working for the Fulton County School system for sixteen years.
Stephanie Guest, LPMT, MT-BC
Stephanie graduated from Tennessee Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy. She is active in church and community activities, and brings a deep knowledge of structure and flow to her music therapy sessions. Before working for FCS, she served older adults and taught private lessons. Stephanie has been working for the Fulton County School system for twenty years.
Brianna Henderson, LPMT, MT-BC
Brianna graduated from East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Music Therapy. She completed her internship with Fulton County Schools in 2014-2015. Outside of music, Bri loves to read, travel, and cook. This is her fifth year with Fulton County Schools.
Roy Joyner, MM, LPMT, MT-BC
Roy attended Florida State University, where he received both his Bachelor’s and his Master’s degrees in music therapy. He later received his certificate in Educational Leadership from the University of West Georgia. Roy's an avid sportsman and accomplished bassist, a keen observer of client/therapist dynamics. He has been with Fulton County schools for twenty-three years.
Marsha Lane, MMT, LPMT, MEd, MT-BC
Marsha graduated from The University of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s & Master’s degrees in education, and from Southern Methodist University with a Master’s degree in music therapy. She loves outdoor adventure, and has considerable experience working in psychiatric settings. Marsha has been working for the Fulton County School system for twenty-five years.
Harry Lester, MMT, LPMT, MT-BC
Harry graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor’s degree in music therapy, and holds a Master's from Georgia College & State University. Like Marsha, he has worked extensively in the psychiatric setting, has a large fund of knowledge of music, and is an active, highly proficient and expressive performer/singer-songwriter. Harry has been working with the Fulton County School system for twelve years.
Kevin Middlebrooks, LPMT, MT-BC, NMT
Kevin Middlebrooks graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy. He also holds a certification in Neurologic Music Therapy. Kevin enjoys working with students of all ages, and loves to find creative and engaging ways to interact musically. He completed his clinical internship with Fulton County in 2017 before spending two years in private practice. He is now excited to return to Fulton for his first professional year with FCS.
Brittany Taylor-Stewart, LPMT, MT-BC
Brittany graduated with a Bachelor's from The University of Georgia in Music Therapy. Brittany loves to take music therapy abroad - she gave a music therapy conference in Venezuela in 2010, as well as in Costa Rica in 2014. Outside of music, she loves her dog and taking trips to Walt Disney World. This is her eighth year with Fulton County Schools.
Carlee Woodring, LPMT, MT-BC
Carlee graduated with a Bachelor's from The University of Georgia in Music Therapy. She was an intern in the 2019-2020 year and was immediately hired onto our team for the 2020-2021 school year due to her outstanding work ethic and creativity. During her classes, she enjoys exposing students to different genres of music to encourage them to develop their own music preferences. Outside of school, Carlee is currently engaged and planning a wedding. This is her first year in Fulton County Schools.
Nicole Wright, LPMT, MT-BC
Nicole graduated from East Carolina University with a duel degree in Music Therapy and Music Education. She completed her internship with Fulton County in 2014-2015. Before joining the team, Nicole taught Middle School General Music and Orchestra. She enjoys watching documentaries, sewing, and taking plane flights. This is Nicole’s fifth year with Fulton County schools, though her fourth year in the music therapy department.
