American Music Therapy Association Conference 2012

10/16/2012

Picture
What an extraordinary time was had by thousands of music therapists, including several from our department, at the AMTA 2012 Conference in St. Charles, IL (just outside of Chicago). Learning and mingling opportunities abounded, with plenty to bring back to our work with Fulton County students.

Our own Kirby Carruth, Jamie George, and Rachel Coon-Arnott (L-R above) were honored as three of the recipients of the Changemaker Award for Music Therapy Advocacy! You can see them next to the map indicating states where music therapy licensure has passed. Jamie also gave a concurrent presentation on employees vs. contractors and tax law.
