Happy New Year!

8/11/2014

Our department is delighted to start its 23rd year serving Fulton County Schools! We're deep into meeting (and reuniting with) students, teachers, and administrators, scheduling, and putting together music therapy experiences that are dynamic, relevant, and effectively address IEP goals/objectives.

The orientations and teacher inservice trainings this year were practical and inspiring! The music teachers and therapists were electrified by the passion, caring, and humor of Scott Lang, and the entire Fine Arts Department (under Felice Margol's direction) had a compelling and colorful time, facilitated by world percussionist and rhythm facilitator Dave Holland.

We joined with the elementary music specialists for a bit, and learned some new percussion/movement styles with Melissa Borger of Lake Forest ES and Cambridge HS. Here's a clip by Roy Joyner (Amber's holding the red scarf) - welcome to the school year!
