Honoring David Symons

3/27/2013

We will never, ever forget you.

We miss David dearly.

David Symons , Ed.S., MT-BC  (working on his doctorate at UGA) graduated from Brewton-Parker College with a Bachelor's degree, then went to The University of Georgia, receiving his Master’s and Ed.S. degrees. He started his association with our music therapy department first as an intern, then as a much-loved and valued member of this department. His knowledge and application of current musical style (and technological savvy) brought fresh ideas and energy.

He passed away on January 18th, 2013.

David's love and caring spirit permeated everything he touched - and his humor brought us much joy and hilarity. Just being in his presence was a wonder. May his brilliance and sensitivity show us the way as we grapple with this great loss.

A library and memorial fund in his name is filling with beautiful contributions as we speak.
