One of our therapists, Stephanie Guest, shared this article about Shakespearean Therapy and its usefulness with students with autism. It pulls themes and plot points from Shakespeare's The Tempest into theatre games that allow kids with autism to practice skills that are particularly challenging, such as creating eye contact, recognizing emotion behind facial expressions, conversation turn-taking, and appropriate physical boundaries.
