White House Acknowledgement & Conference

11/18/2014

As part of his remarks at "A Salute to the Troops: In Concert at the White House," President Obama spoke of the power of music therapy (by a credentialed music therapist at Walter Reed Medical Center) in the rehabilitation of a soldier.

The annual conference of the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) in Louisville was an unqualified success. Our department head and AMTA Vice President (and conference chair) Amber Weldon-Stephens presented, as did our very own Brittany Taylor! Several members of our department attended, as well as all of our interns.
